NFL Betting – New-Look Saints Debut Against 49ers In Preseason Action Friday
Posted August 11, 2011 – 7:22 pm in: Sports NewsFor the past four NFL betting lines seasons, the New Orleans Saints have ranked among the most explosive teams in football with an offense led by head coach Sean Payton and franchise quarterback Drew Brees that has consistently ranked near the top of the NFL. There is little doubt with that tandem back again for another year in 2011 that the Saints will march again, but the outlook for this season could be much different down in New Orleans. With the arrival of running back Mark Ingram from Alabama and the dismissal of former first round pick Reggie Bush, it appears as though the Saints are looking to establish a power-running game. That is something to look for on Friday night, as New Orleans opens its preseason against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead.
The action begins on Friday with the Cincinnati Bengals taking on the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, with injuries ravaging the host team in what appeared to be a very optimistic year. The Lions took steps forward a year ago and seemed primed for the postseason with a couple of key additions, but the sports betting loss of defensive tackle Nick Fairley and another key running back in Leshoure early on have tempered expectations. Also Friday night, Bush and the Miami Dolphins will take on the Atlanta Falcons in Georgia, while the defending AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers will make the trip to Landover to clash with Rex Grossman and the Washington Redskins.
