For the last eight years, BetEd has grown from a small online betting site to one of the most popular sportsbooks amongst the sports gambling crowd. Mostly known in the betting online world as a humble shop for recreational and new bettors, BetEd has a ton of great things for everyone to enjoy. Who Bets Here – BetEd is strictly a sportsbook for the casual and recreational betting enthusiasts. They aren’t worried about setting up early lines, they don’t have the highest limits, but what they do have is an overall enjoyable experience.
Aside from offering the ever classic top four North American sports, BetEd also offers betting lines on the European sporting scene, with lines on soccer, cricket and rugby. However, if you are a niche bettor, you will enjoy the lines for MMA, boxing and NASCAR.
BetEd specialty however is the prop betting section. For instance, in 2009 they were the first sportsbook to come out with lines on where current Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Michael Vick would sign after being reinstated by the NFL. As well, similar to juggernaut Bodog, BetEd offers lines on the various award shows, political campaigns, and most importantly the weather.
Customer Service – Over the last couple of years, BetEd has improved its customer service area dramatically. They offer the 24 hour a day seven day a week year round approach to customer service. However, BetEd only offers service via telephone and through e-mail. Now while most of their competition offers help through a live chat, chances are you will be using the phone or e-mail to seek assistance for your inquiries.
What’s more, it should be noted that in 2009 the BetEd server crashed and since then they have been under heavy criticism by our peers. Yet in the two years since that incident, BetEd has improved dramatically.
